Hello everybody who reads this,

I was at the concert in Paradiso. I had an awesome evening. Although it was very busy, I enjoyed the gig a lot. For me it was a long travel to get to the concert, because I life in the east side of the country (Wierden, that's near Almelo, Enschede). It took me almost 2 hours to get there, so I think it's a pitty that the concert wasn't that long. But anyway, Michael + rest of the band, if you ever read this, I want to thank you for an awesome evening.

And Richard, thank you again for oranizing a ticket for me although the concert was already sold out. I appresiate it a lot.

Lot's of love and blessings, Jolanda Timmerman

Well, it happened. I have seen The Violet Burning and they were wonderful. The set in Camden was too short and I was feeling a bit ill so didn't end up dancing, but from where I was standing at the back it was an impressive show, and the live versions of Oceana and Low took my breath away. And I met some cool people, too - so hello to any of them who might read this. And there was a decent turnout (despite the lack of publicity) so hopefully that'll be an encouragement to come to the UK again before so long this time.

One thing though - I got a M T-shirt by mistake, so if anyone's going to the gigs the next few days and fancies getting a L or XL and swapping (or got a larger size and wanted an M) then please contact me at jonathan.south@merant.com and I'll be massively grateful.

Hi all out there. The Europe 2001 tour of the Violets has kicked off. Two gorgeous concerts in Balk and Schijndel promise a lot for the concerts next wednesday and thursday. The concert of tommorow will be a live webcast on the internet. The show starts at 10:00 pm (Dutch time) and 01:00 (PST). The url for the show is:
http://pages.vpro.nl/3voor12/shows/episodes.shtml?2534202+3122274+3108880+3499987
The show is streamed through the Windows Media player, so make sure you have that installed and the set will take only about 20 minutes so don't tune in too late. The show will also be broadcasted by Dutch radio 3FM

Tonight the band is playing the Underworld in Camden, London. For all of you that still feel like going to the show: there are still some tickets available, the adress is: 174 Camden High Str. [phone +44(0)2074821932] and the show will start at 09:00 pm (UK time).

I'm exited. The Violets might be at their best. The songs of the new record are awesome and clouds cry miracles.

Hi Antonie, what you write about the Violets visit to the UK is correct. Most likely it's not going to be a show but just a meeting with Word UK who is one of the distributors of Violet Burning records in Europe.
I have decided to host this site at Tripod USA because most visitors live somewhere in the United States. But if you know of another free hosting service over there that is faster, please let me know. I will make a copy of this site at a Dutch mirror sometime this week btw.

And... please come back later this week for the special Violet Underwater E-card Service that I hope to launch !

Greetings, Richard

PS. Mr.Gribbley, why don't you come over to Amsterdam March 22nd for the Violets show?

The funny thing is that a true fan (whatever that is) would probably think about what you mention only a little but would not be too bothered about it. The best probably would be to be a true fan of the humble man from Nazareth.

The new album (Faith and Devotions of a Satellite Heart) will probably be available somewhere this spring. Most likely April but that is only what I'm guessing. Through the labyrinth of links you can already view the cover art of it at the 'Pictures'-section. It will be modern worship in a true Violet Burning style. As soon as more info about the release date is available I will put the info on this site.

Grib said it's difficult at times...well i'm at passion_rain@hotmail.com in case i don't find my way here very often (due to the silly computers here on this island!)...and i love banana ice cream stuff...but something about strawberry (and coffee stuff sometimes and just plain ol' vanilla beans!!) just kills me, esp. w/ the real fruit, it has to be there...love spumoni...and this one goes out to audiogirl (; MINTY CHOC CHIP!! oh yeah...cookies and cream was a fave as a kid...sheesh i just love ice cream!! choc fudge at BR is great -- but no BR in malta so not too much reminiscing there...anyhow, love you all, miss you all (council) and keep on ROCKin...psalm 29;

Hehe, I hope you can erase postings here...my previous one has been posted three times! But as my grandma used to say: all good things go in three (so does our Lord). But I forgot two things there: 1. My favourite icecream would be selfmade ice from 'De Hoop', an icebar nearby. I usually pick lemon, straciatella and a random third one. But during the winter I prefer ice that's thick enough to skate on. 2. And my name is Arjan aka, Brandje

Welcome at the Underwater Violet Burning Website!

Here at the Wall of Fame you can draw your name somewhere, say hi to other members of the Violet Underground or just reveal the name of your favorite ice-cream. If you have any suggestions for this site, please mail me at menelaos@hetnet.nl
